Okay folks here it is my first blog....
We wrote number stories in math today, and it was painful at first, but they were all getting the hang of it by the end of the lesson. I really just focused on Beginning capitols and ending marks. We also reread to make sure that our units matched and it made sense.

ReplyDeleteI like how you incorporated the writing process (rereading/revising for clarity and editing for capitalization and end marks) into a math lesson. Teachers sometimes think they have to teach everything about writing; instruction is probably more effective, however, when we narrow it down to a few important concepts as you did, especially for 2nd graders!
