"Because music is an inherently social activity, the music classroom is an ideal place to help students develop or improve vital social skills." Again, this is where I can be useful in the school-wide goal of improving writing. Once students are comfortable assessing themselves and others in such a social subject, hopefully they will feel as comfortable across the curriculum.
